The financial crisis revealed the fundamental failure of mainstream economics, but it is simply not true that no one had foreseen the crisis. In response to Paul Krugman’s famous article published in the New York Times, James K. Galbraith presents here a series of scholars who had been largely ignored by regulators as well as by mainstream economists. Their research offers today the theoretical framework of a new financial regulation.
