Marc Barra is an ecologist at the Île-de-France Regional Biodiversity Agency, which is part of the Paris Region Institute. He leads research and action projects on solutions for better integrating life into public policies, particularly urban policies (nature-based solutions, zero net artificialisation, soil sealing). He carries out prospective work on the necessary rethinking of the economy in the living world and its limits and is co-author of the book "Economie et biodiversité : produire et consommer dans les limites de la biosphère". He teaches at the Institut Catholique de Paris, the Université Paris-Saclay, UniLasalle Rouen and the Université de Cergy-Pontoise.
